Is it possible to have a happy relationship with an egotist?
He loves himself. His world revolves around himself and there is little time in it for even his own mother. He loves talking about himself and his future and everything and anything to do with him. He is instantly bored when he has to listen, unless he is unravelling some sort of psychological puzzle. He responds well to compliments and loves it when you tell him he looks young and hot, or that he is a good person. He only considers me to be a part of his future when I lift him up and cater to his self-centered desires. Is it possible to have a happy relationship with an egotist like this?
The first thing anyone needs to know about an egotist is that they HAVE to talk about themselves or be a bossy know it all because it feeds their ego.
Meaning...they are sooooooooooooo insecure with themselves....they have to project a 'know it all, self centered' image to everyone.
Personally? I couldnt have a relationship (beyond friends) with any egotist.
If you want to be with someone who:
1. Always puts himself and what he needs/wants first.
2. seems to get a thrill or even a 'high' off of putting down others and trying to make them feel inferior or stupid.
3. someone who is pretty much an immature spoiled brat who when he doesnt get his way or all the time and attention in the world he sulks....
Then this is your guy.
My question would not be "is it possible to have a happy relationship?" with this guy...
My question would be "Why would you want to? and why do you think so little of yourself that you feel he is the best you can do?"
Please do not buy into his put downs and insults...
DO NOT let him make you feel like youj are soooooooo lucky to have a guy like him.....
the truth is...HE is lucky that you put up with him cuz 99% of the girls would tell him to go **** himself
Find your self someone who can and will give you the love and respect you deserve.
The only one who will be happy in a relationship with the guy you described is himself....because he doesnt care about anyone but himself.
